My name is Christy Roeseler, and I am passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families build healthier, more fulfilling lives. I earned my Bachelor’s of Science in Applied Health Science from Indiana University, Bloomington, in 2010, where I majored in Human Development and Family Studies and minored in Human Sexuality. Currently, I am pursuing my Master of Social Work at Capella University and will begin my practicum this fall as I continue to develop my clinical skills.
I have experience working with diverse populations in both youth and adult settings. At Adult & Child in Trafalgar, Indiana, I served as a Skills Development Specialist in a school-based program, teaching mental health skills to teens. At Centerstone in Columbus, Indiana, I have worked as a Rehabilitation Specialist, helping adults strengthen their life, mental, and physical health skills. Earlier in my career, I interned with Indiana University’s Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Student Support Services office, where I assisted with outreach, education, and advocacy for the LGBTQIA community.
My professional interests include working with couples—both monogamous and non-monogamous—individuals, teens, and members of the LGBTQIA community. I am especially passionate about sexual health and education, and I strive to create a safe and affirming space for clients to explore their concerns, identities, and relationships. My approach is rooted in person-centered care, which means I value each client’s unique experiences and collaborate with them to support growth, healing, and self-discovery.
As I continue my career, I plan to pursue specialized training and certifications to further expand my knowledge and expertise in diverse therapeutic approaches. Ongoing education is central to my practice, and I am committed to expanding my knowledge so that I can best serve the diverse needs of the people I work with.
Additionally, I have training in DBT and Brainspotting, Phase 1, and I’m WPATH informed.
